The simplest way of decorating your balcony when using vertical space is by using shallow-rooted plants. For example, “air plants” can easily attach themselves without the need of using soil. The other way to decorate a wall with easy-care succulents is to provide a mosaic-like wall. For this purpose, you could find small pots, jars or bottles and fix them onto the wall panel or a frame. Make sure the frame is deep enough to allow succulents to sit comfortably in the soil and that the structure is well secured.

The vertical garden offers countless opportunities for the creative gardener. If you can’t use your wall space, try to grow your plants on shelves or place a group of small tables on different levels so that your arrangement looks interesting.
